He is a supporter of minorities and he tries to make sure that the things that he supports are geared toward a better life for all. Unlike many billionaires, George Soros knows that helping others is the best way to spend money and that he won’t be able to truly feel enjoyment unless he is doing something to make things better for everyone in the country.

As things get tense around the United States, George Soros has worked to make things easier according to the Washington Times. He donated a large sum of money to the fund that was used to support the Ferguson protests. He wanted to see people make changes and knew that they would not be able to do so without some type of monetary contribution. He chose to use his own money for this purpose and it gave him a chance to show others that they could benefit from the protests too. He wanted people to have a chance at a better life and get the equality that they deserved. Read more about George’s life story at

End Citizen United PAC Challenging the Political Sector

When the Supreme Court passed a ruling in 2010 which opened doors for big corporations to fund the elections, many saw this action as a way of killing the American democracy. The ruling, dubbed ‘Citizens United,’ has been criticized by many as a way of big corporations and wealthy people hijack the electoral process of America. They have been accused of pumping ‘dark’ money to the candidates who after attaining political office, feel indebted to them hence grant them several financial favors.

The untraceable political expenditure has been rising at an alarming rate. It has created a sense that the democracy is slowly drifting away from the ordinary Americans. As opposed to before where the voices of individuals could be heard, the American political system has managed to render most people insignificant. That’s why a group like End Citizen United PAC exists to fight this battle and restore American democracy to what it was before.

The group decided to support Democrats candidates who share the same idea and those who are oppressed and attacked by the corporate and billionaires. They believe that it’s only through this process that they will be able to pass the constitutional amendment that will reverse the Supreme Court’s ruling.

The group has received an active support and has attracted more than 325,000 signatures for the petition that was aimed at pressuring the Congress to reconsider the legislation. The group also enjoyed the partnership with “Ready for Hillary” that will help to boost its popularity through renting them their email list that consists of over four million people.

As for finances, End Citizens United has managed to raise over $2 million, and according to Richard Carbo, communications director of the group, the group’s ambition of reaching $30 million is still realistic.

This mission, however, is seen by some as over ambitious and unrealistic. Rick Hasen, a political science and a law professor at UC-Irvine School of Law, has challenged the group’s constitution amendment mission. He suggests that the best way is a change in the Supreme Court justice. He, however, acknowledges the importance of the existence of such groups as they put pressure on the Supreme Court and the political sector not to make things worse than they are currently.

End Citizens United is a political committee that was formed with the aim of fighting the Citizen United ruling that was passed by the Supreme Court in 2010.

End Citizens United is aimed at backing political candidates who have the same ambition of amending the constitution. The group seeks to support Democrats and recognize that some Republicans are aware of the untraceable political expenditures and don’t support it. The Congress Republican leadership, however, is seen to be standing in the way of this reform.

End Citizens United also enjoys grassroots support and financing. They have received over 130,000 donations from people who want to take the democracy back.

Thor Halvorssen Untamed Passion for Human Rights

Many people are discouraged by the authorities to go beyond the set limit. However, Thor is not one of them. He will get arrested and threatened but he won’t stop. Can We Agree To Disagree

It is not a secret how Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders feels about Charles Koch. Bernie Sanders has been very vocal about the Supreme Courts decision in the Citizens United case, which coincidentally was led by the Koch brothers, which allows big business to funnel large amount of money into political campaigns. Bernie Sanders has been adamant about the Koch brothers political agendas, which he claims will serve the rich and destroy the poor and middle classes. So it is somewhat surprising that Charles Koch would write an op-ed piece for the Washington Post agreeing with the Senator.

As surprising as it may be, there may be one area where the Senator and Mr. Koch may find common ground. When it comes to corporate welfare the two men agree. Charles Koch agrees that the current political system only benefits the privileged few. Charles Koch has said he objects the two-tiered system which dooms millions to abject poverty, while many corporations are abusing the system to line their pockets. Charles Koch writes in his op’ed “Consider the regulations, handouts, mandates, subsidies and other forms of largesse our elected officials dole out to the wealthy and well-connected. The tax code alone contains $1.5 trillion in exemptions and special-interest carve-outs. Anti-competitive regulations cost businesses an additional $1.9 trillion every year. Perversely, this regulatory burden falls hardest on small companies, innovators and the poor, while benefitting many large companies like ours.”

Koch industries is the second largest privately owned corporation in the United States. Each year they increase its net worth by $12 billion dollars. This is a figure that is hard to fathom for most people in today’s society. Though it is easy to see as Charles points out how they are able to achieve such a staggering sum by taking full advantage of the taxbreaks they have at their disposal.

Charles Koch is a very well educated man. He hold the trifecta of degrees from the famed Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds a bachelors degree in general engineering, a masters degree in mechanical engineering and a doctorate degree in chemical engineering. Since graduating from Massachusetts Institie of Technology, Charles has been a director of Entrust Financial Corporation, as well as the director of Koch Industries Incorporated.

Charles is currently the director of Invista and the director of Georgia-Pacific LLC. In addition to being an astute businessman Charles is a philanthropist. He has helped found many organizations like the Cato Institute, the Institute for Humane Studies and the Mercatus Center, also the Market-Based Management Institute. He is also member of the Mont Pelerin Society.

Charles Koch vs. Donald Trump

Well known businessman Charles Koch has had some choice word regarding the state of the Republican Party and presidential elections in general. Charles Koch inherited his father’s business and expanded into new industries. Now, they have made waves as leaders in pollution control technology, polymers, and name brands such as Quilted Northern, Dixie Cups, and Stainmaster.

Being such magnates of the business world gives Charles Koch an advantage when it comes to politics. When they find a candidate they truly believe in, they are able to help them succeed in their campaigns. For example, they were able to raise $400 million for Mitt Romney in 2012, and are working hard to assist their candidate of choice in 2016.

This year, despite their continued support of the Republican Party, the Koch’s are steadfast in their refusal to support Donald Trump. Trump has repeatedly approached them for financial backing, but Charles Koch maintains that Trump’s anti-Muslim proposed laws are an assault on Liberty, and will not engage with his ideals. Now Trump has turned to attack the Kochs, who must decide whether to fight back.

Even though the Koch’s have primarily lent support to Republican candidates, Charles Koch calls himself a classical liberal, one who would rather see the dual party system abolished, as it is doing relatively no good for society. His financial standing gives him-and other business moguls- opportunities to alter the political landscape away from the archaic traditions and parties. No longer are politics controlled by the candidates, but truly by the people. Thus, they must choose whether to further this action by actively taking down Trump, a candidate they truly do not agree with on many points.

The Kochs and other political financiers, therefore, face a truly difficult path. Should Trump be the leading Republican candidate, and none of the Democratic or other party leaders seem to be acceptable, would Charles Koch and his brother continue their stonewalling or committ themselves to aiding their party of choice? Though a strong financial standing is helpful in political campaigns, the choices are not always so easy for people like the Kochs to make.
